Major Broadband Funding Secured

Central New Mexico Electric Cooperative (CNMEC) is excited to share that we have been awarded funding from the State of new Mexico to expand fiber broadband services to serve Estancia and Mountainair. This investment supports our mission to bring fast, reliable, future-proof internet to the members and communities we serve. 

In addition to this state award, CNMEC has also been selected for federal ReConnect 4 and ReConnect 5 grants. These combined awards represent a significant milestone in our effort to close the digital divide and build the infrastructure needed for education, healthcare, business, and everyday life. 

With support from the State of New Mexico and USDA ReConnect Program, CNMEC is full steam ahead to deliver the high-speed fiber network our rural communities deserve. We look forward to bringing world-class connectivity to your home, your work, and your family - because our members deserve the best. 

Below are the serving areas we will be building out within the next three years, with plans to extend fiber services to areas that need it most.
